I was reading an article from Zoomba about games , and one of them on his list is Ghostbusters . This was my favorite movie as a kid, and although I’m always little reserved about games based on movies, this one is looking great.
Well Friday is almost here, and even right now there are hundreds, if not thousands, of people lined up around the world to get their hands on the new iPhone 3G. Last year I didn't stand in line, but I did go on launch day and picked up an iPhone. I have been very happy with it and you can ready my two-part review here . So am I upgrading my iPhone to the new 3G iPhone.....no. However, I will be in line early in the morning to buy my wife one for her birthday. I ...
Congratulations to Nancy and Harry....worst Congress ever! When you hear people talk about high gas prices, remember who has been in charge for the last couple of years. "The percentage of voters who give Congress good or excellent ratings has fallen to single digits for the first time in Rasmussen Reports tracking history. This month, just 9% say Congress is doing a good or excellent job. Most voters (52%) say Congress is doing a poor job, which ties the record high in that dubious c...
Well we had a long 4-day weekend, which surprisingly I didn't do too much gaming. On the Xbox 360 I played a few rounds of Battlefield: Bad Company, and a little bit of Guitar Hero III: AeroSmith. I didn't get around to any PC games this weekend as I tried to stay away from the computer for a few days. So, what did you play this weekend?
BlockBuster and the USo have teamed up to sponsor a Game/DVD drive until July 14th. The only "catch" is you have to purchase used or new DVD's or games at a BlockBuster store and drop them into collection boxes at the store. Regardless, if you have a few extra dollars to pick up some used movies, it still goes to a great cause and will bring plenty of entertainment to our troops fighting for freedom overseas. "Blockbuster Inc. and the USO are teaming up to bring much deserved ...
This guy is getting scarier by the day. Now Obama plans to give his nomination acceptance speech at Invesco Field, so he can deliver the speech to 75,000 of his cult followers. This guy has an ego that can’t fill any stadium, and it’s still troubling anybody believe that this guy is anything more than a good marketing campaign. Will Obama be throwing t-shirts into the crowd, maybe a stage dive? This has really bec...
Mine wasn’t too bad. We went to the Lakefront on Friday to watch the fireworks, and spent the rest of the weekend shopping and relaxing.
The 4th of July is not typically a big skinning holiday, but there are a few skins out there that you decorate your desktop with. I took a quick browse through the galleries and here are some that I found.
A couple of months ago we set out to start a new podcast for the community of people who are interested in desktop customization, skinning, and just tech in general. When we started I was using a inexpensive Logitech USB mic. It’s a very good mic for the price, but it’s not up to any type of professional recording level that I now need. With that I sought out an alternative which was insanely expensive, but still had a very good sound quality. I read review after review...

RomanDA is well known here on WinCustomize for the remarkable gadgets he has created with DesktopX. One of my favorite desktop gadgets was SiteChecker which shows you status of a given website. Very useful for anyone who manages a website, and just as useful to see if your favorite site is working correctly. I was very happy to hear that RomanDA has created his first Sidebar Gadget for Vista, and it was a re-make of SiteChecker. Not only did we get a Vista Sidebar g...
The latest review of Gal Civ II: Twilight of the Arnor comes from GameZone.com. It has been a moderate week as far as tech news goes. No real big breaking news, but I wanted to give a roundup of news that I came across that might interest you as well. Microsoft is continuing work on Windows Live FolderShare. This week they introduced a new Windows client which is now available for download. FolderShare is a service that allows you to keep files synced with various computers. Apple has seeded iTunes 7.7 to developers and there is hints that the...
