I’m going to go against the feeling that Draginol has on this one.  I think this was a very smart move, regardless of what is being said on the far-left blogs.  McCain has once again backed Obama into a corner.  The$700 Billion bailout is flawed big time, and it’s the job of both McCain and Obama to correct it.  McCain has stepped up to help, Obama has continued with politics as usual.  This doesn’t go well for his “change” and “leadership” nonsense that is repeated ov...

It almost seems that the left hates Palin more than they hate Bush.  She seems to be the focus of every left-leaning website and publication out there on a daily basis.  The attacks on her and her family have been nothing short of discusting.  I have even had liberals tell me straight out, "she scares me".  Of course, when I ask for specifics they don't seem to have an answer, much like asking them about Obama's accomplishments. I do understand how a strong, conservative w...

Last weeks poll on WinCustomize asked if you are going to compete in the ‘08 GUI Championships.  It looks like we still have quite a few undecided, but that might change when we announce the new prize sponsors we have lined up. The new poll for week asks, “Have You Been Satisfied with the WC Subscriber Skins?”  Over the last couple of months we have released several WinCustomize Subscriber skins such as Boulder, Golf, etc.  We wanted to know how satisfied you have been ...

Adobe has finally released more details on Creative Suite 4.  I think most people at WinCustomize will be  concerned with Photoshop CS4 , and there are some really interesting updates for it.  Smoother panning and zooming and fluid canvas rotation Adjustments panel Extended depth of field Masks panel Content-Aware Scaling Photoshop CS4 will use the GPU Prices don’t seem to have changed, so do you think these updates are worthy of an upgrade?  Do you plan on p...

Here is another great article about he association between Barack Obama and William Ayers. It seems the more Obama denies having an association with Ayers, more comes to light.   “From 1995 to 1999, he led an education foundation called the Chicago Annenberg Challenge (CAC), and remained on the board until 2001. The group poured more than $100 million into the hands of community organizers and radical education activists. The CAC was the brainchild of Bill Ayers, a ...

Well it's Monday, and it's that time to tell everyone what you played this weekend.  I was actually caught up in Star Wars: Force Unleashed this weekend.  It's a good game, but it did have so much more potential.  The force effects are just awesome, and any Star Wars fan will enjoy it. My kids are really loving Spore, so I hop on with them a bit and give them a hand.  I think they do a better job than I do with it.  So what did you play this weekend?

Halloween has always been a popular time for skinning. There are a number of Halloween inspired skins in the WinCustomize galleries, and seems to be skins in almost every category.  With that being said, I wanted to show a quick preview of a new Halloween skin in the works from Stardock Design.  This WindowBlinds skin will be free to WinCustomize subscribers , and should be released sometime in early October.  There will also be a free .dream available for download as well.&nb...

I was considering building a machine to use as a Windows Home Server.  I can build a new box, or even upgrade my current PC and build it with salvage parts for a relatively low price.  I have read all the reviews, but I was curious if any of our members have a WHS setup.  I would definitely like to hear opinions about it.

I found this article today, and please take note of the date. In a move that could help increase home ownership rates among minorities and low-income consumers, the Fannie Mae Corporation is easing the credit requirements on loans that it will purchase from banks and other lenders. The action, which will begin as a pilot program involving 24 banks in 15 markets -- including the New York metropolitan region -- will encourage those banks to extend home mortgages to individuals whose credit is ...
