What a time I have had in the last week and a half.  After months and months of waiting, we were finally able to close on our new house and it was time to load the moving truck.  The worse part is it was one of the hottest days this summer in Florida, and the ground temp was well over 110 degrees.  I hired one of the teenagers from my martial arts school to help us, so that ended up being a very helpful decision. I have spent the last week building all types of thin...

Television pitchman Billy Mays — who built his fame by appearing on commercials and infomercials promoting household products and gadgets — died Sunday, FOX News confirms. Mays was found unresponsive by his wife inside his Tampa , Fla., home at 7:45 a.m. on Sunday, according to the Tampa Police Department. So how is Obama "different" again?  Where is this hope and change now? Let’s unwind the timeline a bit to test this new allegation.  Walpin pressed hard to prosecute Sacramento mayor Kevin Johnson for defrauding the government over more than $400,000 in community service grants.  Johnson, an Obama supporter, got a deal from the White House that allowed him to manage federal funds again and avoid paying back at least half of the grant money he used illegally.  The W...

One of the new releases from Activision is Prototype.  It’s one of the first of the Activision titles available on Impulse, and it’s a really awesome game.  GameZone has published their review and gave it a 9 out of 10!  “Despite the pervasive violence, Prototype is generally an aesthetically pleasing game. Impressive audio effects pound the senses (though a bit repetitively at times), and sleek animations encourage the player to repeat the same insane stunts over...

The last poll on WinCustomize asked if you were planning on purchasing a new PC this year.  With Windows 7 just around the corner, people might be holding off until later this year to grab a new PC with Win7 installed already.  A great number of you said no, you won’t be purchasing a new PC, but quite a few of you did say you will purchase, or at least a “maybe”. Since summer is here, this week we ask what you would like to see on WinCustomize this summer.  Community projects...

The Winstep Nexus dock is a FREE, stand alone, version of the Nexus dock that is part of the Winstep Xtreme suite of applications , although it has no support for multi-docks and multi-level sub-docks, unlike its bigger 'cousin' in Winstep Xtreme. This first public beta release features a new User Interface with multi-language support that will also become part of Winstep Xtreme later this month. Because of this, and ONLY until then, if you click on the Winstep Xtreme link in the About ta...

After upgrading my desktop PC, another good result is I have a ton of spare parts laying around.  Enough for two complete PC’s actually, so I thought it might be fun to build a test system for Windows Home Server .  I have always wanted to have a home server going, but I wanted to test it first before committing to it. I took a Celeron D in a MicroATX Gigabyte motherboard, about 1GB of RAM, and put it in a spare PC case.  I loaded up WHS and got it installed fairly quickly....

How can America really last until the next election?  Obama and his dem allies have already made the economy worse, and billions and billions in more taxes will only lead to more unemployment.  I wonder if those businesses who supported Obama are now saying….”we did what”? June 12 (Bloomberg) -- Health-care overhaul legislation being drafted by House Democrats will include $600 billion in tax increases and $400 billion in cuts to Medicare and Medicaid, Ways and Means Committe...
