Vista has been out for quite a while now, and even so, people are still unaware about exactly how to change the theme of Windows Vista. The process is simple, and no hacks are required so you don’t have to worry about “messing up” your system. All you need is WindowBlinds ! I put together a quick article on how to change the Vista theme, along with links to some of my favorite themes that look beautiful on Vista.
If you were a Windows XP user you are probably familiar with the drab theme that was included. Vista improved with the Aero look, but still didn’t offer much variety, and after a few weeks of usage, even Aero gets dull to look at. The good news is you don’t have to settle for just one looks for Vista, as there are many Vista themes available to download and use. To use these Vista themes, you will first need to get WindowBlinds . This is the absolute best way to ch...
The latest Demigod Developer Diary is up at the RPG Vault on IGN. The #3 edition covers how GPG wants to "evolve" the mechanics of the real-time strategy game. It's another fantastic read! "In most real-time strategy games, players have some mechanic that lets them acquire resources, which are then used to construct buildings, which are then used to produce units. When designing Demigod, our goal was to create a play style that had a lot of role-playing game elements to it, one ...
I took a good hour this morning, and went through the galleries, and I couldn’t believe some of the stuff I had missed out on. I see a new wallpaper from Master skinner Vlad came in and I had missed it! Well after scouring the galleries I found some other skins that I bet you might have missed as well, so here they are.

A new month means a new forum thread giving you the opportunity to post your desktop for other members to see. We have quite a few desktops being shown already, and several are running the Prowler skin, which looks awesome. Head over to the forum thread and post your desktop!
There has been quite a bit of DesktopX news over the past week, beginning with the opening of the Desktop Gadets gallery on WinCustomize. Over the weekend, one of our DX whizzes, sViz, has started a feature called “ I Love DesktopX ”. She shows some featured skins created with DesktopX, and gives some tips and tricks to go along with them. This is really fantastic and I hope to see more.
Well I guess it’s my turn. I was born in Florida, and have lived in Florida for the majority of time. I used to be an auxiliary police officer. I am the Vice President for a local non-profit group. I have been married twice. I used to be involved in DJ’ing and music production locally in Florida. I always carry a firearm when not in the house. My first job was cleaning rooms at a resort. I used to be a far-left libe...
Not too many developments this week. They did get the foundation frame and basic plumbing work in, so I suspect the foundation will be poured sometime in the next couple of days. Still going through the mortgage process. We had found some fraudulent things on our credit reports so we are now in the process of getting them removed. One thing is that is concerning me is we now have less than two months left on or lease, and we have to give at least 30 days notice of o...
Voodoo Extreme has an exclusive feature for the upcoming Demigod game, and that is a short story which introduces the "stone giant" called The Rook. "Three generations of open war between the Vlemish in the south and the Plenor in the north had wrecked the once-fertile hills of Belrond. Battle-lines waxed and waned like sea-waves, wiping clean the landscape and driving its inhabitants to seek furtive shelter in cracks and dark places. Nobody could remember how the war had started, nor could...

This week has gone by so slow for some reason, and it seemed there still wasn’t enough time to get everything done. One thing that wasn’t missed this week was the Friday edition of TWiS. January is just about over, and the first month of 2009 has been a particularly good one for skin submissions to WinCustomize. Check out This Week in Skinning to see the featured picks from the past week!
