I have been helping some people on the Microsoft forums lately with issues resulting from using registry hacks to change basic things in Windows 7 like the logon screen.  The good thing about customizing Windows is just that – you can customize as much or as little as you like.  However, be careful when using registry hacks to change things, you might just end up hosing your system. CCleaner is one of the best free apps around.  I recommend it to users every time they have a cookie/cache issue with WinCustomize, and it always helps them get going again.  Aside from that, it is also useful for cleaning out tons of unnecessary junk on your PC. Version 2.35.1223 is out, and they also have some info on the upcoming CCleaner 3.0 !

CNN has a piece up on video game piracy and mentions Elemental: War of Magic. Sony's PlayStation 3 has recently been the subject of an industry outcry as the latest system to fall victim to enterprising thieves. Credit the launch of the PS Jailbreak, a plug-and-play USB device that lets you copy retail games to, and play them from, the system's hard drive. We have another Master WindowBlinds skin this week, this time from 1MrPaul1 with the second theme in his ELEMENTALS series…Elementals WATER.  One of the things I like most about this skin is the colors and textures used.  It definitely fits the “water” theme, and is very usable on XP, Vista, and Windows 7. BigDownload has posted their review of Elemental: War of Magic, and have given it a “Must Own” rating! “Elemental is, as we have said, the best game Stardock has made so far. It really is a wonderful title, and despite some incredibly poor design decisions, it stands out in a tired genre. Post-launch support aims to elevate the game beyond the relatively simple status it is at now, and we welcome it with open arms. It's worth noting that this is the first time we've found ourselves sit...
