Tweak7 from Stardock was recently released as a beta at the time of this posting, and I wanted to start making a visual guide for it so users can learn how to personalize Windows 7, and improve its performance. Start off by downloading the Tweak7 beta from www.tweak7.com .  If you are a subscriber to Object Desktop Ultimate you can download it via Impulse. When you start Tweak7, the first screen you will see is the Welcome Screen.  This is a starting point where you will see r...

I am always looking for new icons to place on both the desktop, and in ObjectDock.  They range from everything from site links, applications, to games.  Default icons can sometimes be nice, but they hold nothing to what some icon artists come up with. Here are some new icons from the WinCustomize gallery!

Bush for doing the same. Four senior House Democrats on Tuesday said they were "surprised" and "chagrined" by Obama's declaration in June that he doesn't have to comply with provisions in a war spending b...

I have been a big fan of the Anno series since the beginning, so I was very excited to hear about Dawn of Discovery , and even more excited when I found out it was coming to Impulse. Right now I’m playing through the campaign, but the open gameplay is also very fun. If you press F1, you can go into a “postcard” mode which will take some beautiful screenshots as shown below.

We haven’t a skinning contest in a while, and since this summer is literally heating up, I thought a wallpaper competition would fit right in and be fun.  The premise is simple, create a Summer wallpaper with your interpretation of the summer.  It could be vacations, tropical islands, scenery, the sun, etc., it just needs to have that “summer” feel to it.  How you create it is up to you.  3D, vector, drawing……show us what you got! Remember, this is about quality, not...

As some of you may have noticed, I have been offline for a few days.  It seems on Tuesday while I was working in the middle of the day, my internet and TV went out.  Figuring it was just an outage I took the family to dinner expecting it to be on when we returned.  Oh, was I wrong.  It was still down, so a quick phone call later I was told our ISP “discontinued” service to our entire community.  Are you serious? Well yes they were.  After another call to the HO...
