A good article.

It's a shame the majority of pc users don't realize what you can achieve in customizing a pc. I could not possible live with the standard look of Windows.

While there is some competition out there,it's nearly impossible to discuss customizing Vista without mentioning Stardock. WindowBlinds is one of the most important programs on my computer in that it gets used daily and it has been 100% reliable for the most part, ditto for OD+.

ODNT(either flavor)imho is for the price one of the best bargains available to change the look and feel of XP,Vista and now Windows7. I am a fan/customer of SD because the products deliver as advertised, and on the rare occasion when they do not, support has been great.

/end shameless plug

It's always gratifying to see SD's products mentioned professionally. I can testify to the reliability of the software and any support it ever requires, along with the courteous manner it's given.

Great article. Thanks Island Dog for bringing it to our attention. By the way, for those who might be evaluating the Wallpaper Master software mentioned, there's another excellent wallpaper changer available free from Nuonsoft - Wallpaper Cycler Lite. It's packed full of features and easy to use. Also, those who love to tweak might consider having a peek at the How To Geek website.
