WorthPlaying has a great article up with the announcement of Elemental: War of Magic. “The story of Elemental: War of Magic begins with an immersive single player campaign with you being the only person in your kingdom with the ability to channel magic through mysterious shards of magic that are scattered across the world. These shards, a result of a tremendous cataclysm that occurred a century prior when powerful beings waged war across the world, are the source of much of the ...

The siege archers are a standard ranged class, and high priests act as a wizard or mage class, firing spells and debuffs f...

On the PC front I tackled with Galactic Civilizations II for a few hours, and then I just had to break away from the PC for the rest of the weekend.  Gal Civ II is one of my favorite games, so it was fun to get back into it again, especially after the 2.0 update. On the console front I played a bit of NBA Live ‘09, which is quite fun.  I’m not really a big sports person, but this game is really fun to play. There are so many games I want to pickup, but I wish a few...

I was doing some maintenance on my laptop, and I wanted to check the current state of the RAM in my computer.  I found a very useful tool from Microsoft that does just that.  It’s a very small disk image that you can burn to a CD and have it run at startup. “The Windows Memory Diagnostic tests the Random Access Memory (RAM) on your computer for errors. The diagnostic includes a comprehensive set of memory tests. If you are experiencing problems while running Windows, you can ...

One of hottest new tech items is the new Netbooks/Mini-notebooks that are springing up from many of the top PC manufacturers.  I got to see one at the store the other day, and although the size was small, the screen and keyboard seemed very nice. Why a Netbook?  I have a laptop, but it’s a 17” and it’s pretty big.  It’s a great laptop, but mobile is not one of it’s strong points.  I like to come downstairs and do some work, and I also pickup my kids from school, where th...

How would you describe Elemental? What is it closest to? Brad Wardell: It really does draw from a lot of different games. I'm more of a game player ...
