WorthPlaying has a great article up with the announcement of Elemental: War of Magic.

“The story of Elemental: War of Magic begins with an immersive single player campaign with you being the only person in your kingdom with the ability to channel magic through mysterious shards of magic that are scattered across the world. These shards, a result of a tremendous cataclysm that occurred a century prior when powerful beings waged war across the world, are the source of much of the world’s magic.”

Interesting...

Take a look at this picture- https://www.elementalgame.com/Screenshots/Kingdom_Worker_Cloth_1280.jpg (on the Elemental site here)

Now take a look at the screenshot of the same thing at WorthPlaying- http://worthplaying.com/press/300/Elemental_WarOfMagic_04.jpg

What's different?  Look at the top of the screens.  Everything else is the same except the magic meters.  That's really strange.  I haven't looked at the other shots to see if they show up differently yet or not, although on initial glance they seem identical.

I would guess that you gain access to other elements due to meeting certain requirements.

Or, certain factions may have access to multiple elements.

EDIT: This sounds very promising!

Additionally, integrated modding support allows players to submit maps, items, creatures, races, technologies, spells, buildings, environments and much more from right within the game and become available to all players of the game seamlessly.

They're not. The same change moves like a red thread through everything.

It's really wierd, like they're changing the game & interface, but have a completely frozen game up and running to check it against. Like, what the hell?

For comparison, first the new ones from WorthPlaying.

And then, the old ones from this very site.

#3 is the only one that is consistant. The only immediately obvious difference is the resolution, but I can't imagine that being the difference in what displays at the screen.

But that's just it; It's not different. They're all exactly the same. Except the bars up at the top.
