The Steam Summer sale was kinda meh, but I picked a few things.  I think all for about less than $20.

  • Several Anno 2070 DLC
  • AC: Brotherhood
  • Splinter Cell: Conviction

I picked up Morrowind for $11.  I had played the crap out of it before on my Xbox, but felt the need to play it again without puling out the old giant black box.

DLC for Crusader Kings 2 for $5

&

Galactic Civilizations II : Ultimate Edition for $5

Whats interesting is that with how frequent the huge steam sales come and now that its been a few years since the start, I don't feel compelled to lay my money down. I'm sure the fact that I'm still chugging through games purchased from sales years ago has something to do with it.

I've put in just under 2 hours with Galactic Civ 2. Around 20 minutes in I was feeling dissapointed, about an hour later I started to see why it's still talked about.

Atom Zombie Smasher and Cave Story.

Most of what I wanted I already had.  Steam Sales just don't mean that much to me anymore.

Steam Sales are a great way to pick up games I normally wouldn't because they aren't appealing enough for the full pricetag.

I picked up:

Jade Empire Special Edition

F.E.A.R. Trilogy

Mirror's Edge

Fallout: New Vegas Complete

Frozen Synapse

Trine 2

Dear Esther

Evochron Mercenary

Total was around 45 bucks.. got enough to keep me busy until FE is released (and beyond)! I held off on a few games I wanted but weren't discounted enough (Witcher 2, Civ 5, Anno 2070). I'm sure they will sometime in the future.

Frozen Synapse. Came with a second copy for a friend too.

Warlock: Master of the Arcane (very much enjoying)

Crusader Kings 2 (haven't played yet)

This was a great summer sale for me.  So many games super cheap.

Crusader Kings 2 latest DLCs for $3.50 or so.

The Witcher 2 for $16 (AMAZING game by the way)

Legend of Grimrock $6

Tropico 4 bundle for $16 - Been waiting for this sale for a long, long time.

Oblivion GOTY Deluxe and Morrowind GOTY - both for $11.23.  I have them on CD but for this cheap I'll take the digital versions.

Sim City 4 Deluxe for $5.  Why?  SC 5 will require Origin so it's a non-sale, Cities XL (all versions) no matter how much I want to like them just plain suck and my CD copies just won't run in Win 7 64bit no matter what I do.  The Steam version runs fine with a couple command line tweaks.

I got Fallout 3 GOTY for $4.99.  I already owned Fallout 3 and all the DLC (from GFWL) but didn't feel like bothering with discs and GFWL anymore, so I bought it again.

Crysis 2 Maximum Edition

Deus Ex Missing Link

Hard Reset

Just Cause 2

Metro 2033

Plants vs Zombies GOTY

Psychonauts

Renegade Ops

Saints Row 3

Splinter Cell Conviction

Trine 2

Warlock Master of the Arcane

Witcher 2
