The Steam Summer sale was kinda meh, but I picked a few things. I think all for about less than $20.
I wanted the newest version of Skyrim but I missed out.
I did get Wargame: European Escalation.
Defense Grid - The Awakening
Rome Total War with all expansions
Medieval Total War with Kingdoms
The Infinite War Battle Pack for Supreme Commander 2
X3 Albion Prelude (with cumulative discount I think, because I also own Terran Conflict)
The Total War games I got mostly for the Europa Barbarorum Mod, since I can satisfy my needs for historical play with the Paradox titles I own (Rome Gold, EU3+all expansions and Victoria + AHD).
I was tempted by Warlock - Master of the Arcane, but I'll invest my money in Fallen Enchantress, it'll sure be the best fantasy 4X out there.
Some of the best games I already own and others are just not my type, like The Witcher... meh. I love Skyrim though Still... a sale is always welcomed.
I got the same packages from Amazon + the 2K Strategy Pack (which includes Stronghold and Civ IV/V). Only thing I got from Steam was the Korea/Wonders combo pack.
just dcuo dlc.... mind you.. i don't even play it that much. (might have touched it for an hour in the last few months)
That Amazon/Paradox package for under 13 bucks, valued at 135.94 is a serious deal...
Entirely too much. I dont understand how steam manages to make me buy games I already own for a console and that I know I will probably never have time to play...
Picked up medieval (despite owning a disc copy) to mess around with that Third Age mod.
alan wake for me.
Walock: Master of Arcane
Borderland GOTY
Alan Wake franchise, Fortune Summoners, Wizorb, and Noitu Love 2
Noitu Love 2 is great, the other indie games were definately sale fodder
I would like to second the poster that answered "Way too much."
Let's see what all I got:
One of the Indie Bundles (contained Avadon, QUBE, Vessel, and Dungeons of Dredmor)
Orcs Must Die
Geneforge Saga
Avernum: Escape from the Pit
2nd Avernum Trilogy (4-6)
Deus Ex HR DLC (Missing Link)
Portal 2
Mount and Blade: Fire and Sword
Psychonauts
Bastion
I think that's it. And I paid just under $50 for the entire lot, once it was totalled up.
What I bought at the Steam summer sale:
I know. I'm surprised myself I didn't buy like 10 things. But I wanted the trophy you get for doing tasks in Steam and you had to buy atleast one thing to do that and also I've heard alot of good things about The Witcher and 2 euro is nothing.
I didn't buy anything else since I didn't find the games I wanted dirt cheap. I want Fallout 3 GOTY but it wasn't cheap enough. Atleast I'm not ready to pay over 10 euro for it.
