How is it that people are arguing that this bill may violate the 4th amendment?  Seems to me they have more of an issue with the law enforcement then they actually do with the bill?

After first being miffed that anyone from the RNC would even mention 1070 when asked about the reasons Tampa was selected for the 2012 convention, I have concluded that Tampa was the smart choice.  I have a feeling there will be multiple states with similar laws on the books by then, anyway.  The current polling of Hispanic opinion on 1070 is seriously poisoned by the dishonest reporting and demagogy going since its passage and I believe that on reflection many if not most legal Hispanic citizens will come around over time.

I note with some humor that LA has voted to 'boycott' Arizona.  Except for our power & water.  And a few other little necessities.  What principled folks on the LA city council, no?

Isn't THIS a violation of the commerce clause between states?  I understand its one thing for an individual or a group to boycott but a gov't (although municipal) body to boycott a state?

Does LA really have the moral high ground to boycott anything? Does anyone remember the LAPD's reputation for "equal" justice? The stupidity that seemingly flows like water from that state amuses me. The RINO governator and his liberal state govt. need to be terminated.

Well, the irony of the situation is that LA is also going broke.  If AWest decided to stop flying to LA those taxes alone would cripple LA even more.  This is almost like a homeless man boycotting Mickey Ds?
