Every day I visit tons of website, forums, and social networks for all types of topics, most of which are technology based in some sort of form.  This election cycle has really brought out the best of the liberal “group think” mentality regarding Obama.  On just about every social network Obama is praised as “the one” and any hint of disagreement with his policies or ideals is immediately responded with accusations of racism, or just plain insults.  Anybody who wants to claim that liberals are tolerant to others, please give me a shout because I can quickly debunk that.  Even here on our network of sites, there have been insults tossed at the slightest hint of either supporting McCain, or being against Obama.  I’m certainly not saying conservatives don’t dish out their fair share, but the mentality of liberals has once again bordered on the insane and hateful.

It’s tough being a proud conservative, as I will say what I think regardless of what the group and mob mentality is.  The real shame is so many people, especially bloggers in the tech area, are afraid to do the same.  I have received so many private notes and comments in support of standing up for conservatism, it’s almost crazy.  The best comparison I can make is how conservative actors in Hollywood are often ridiculed or turned down for roles because of their conservative beliefs, and the same mentality is going on right now in the blogosphere.  Conservative bloggers, some of which can be considered A-list are having to remain silent about their thoughts on Obama and McCain, simply because they are afraid of retribution from their employers or just not being able to pickup work from other sites.  It’s a shame, and it’s more telling about liberals than it is anything.

I am a conservative, I don’t like Obama, and I will never let anyone intimidate me because of that.

steve, the ONLY person running for the office of President of The United States that was born outside the United States is McCain. Obama was born in Hawaii, McCain in the Panama Canal Zone.

please, list ONE credible source where his grandmother states he was born in Kenya. even the idiot who was on Fox News a few weeks ago claiming Obama was born in Kenya, raised a Muslim, and wants to rid the world of Isreal admits he was wrong on all accounts now. that idiot even went to Hawaii to prove himself wrong. he does now say Obama's real father is a 1960's era black militant even though he admits he has no proof.

personally, i think ALL elections should be funded by private means and not with taxpayer money. i do readily agree these private donations should be legit, though.

Looks like all those conservative sheep  aren't done with crying .  How scandalous.  Gee, is there any moral, ethic or law that Obama hasn't broken?

A quick goolge search, here's a bunch. Take your pick:

Oh hey, look! A Democrat acknowledges it, and is suing him!: http://www.worldnetdaily.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=78931

Quick quote from the 3rd link: According to Obama's Kenyan (paternal) grandmother, as well as his half-brother and half-sister, Barack Hussein Obama was born in Kenya, not in Hawaii

Quote from acticle 4: He said the telephone call was from Obama's paternal grandmother affirming she "was in the delivery room in Kenya when he was born Aug. 4, 1961."

So who's lying here? Barrack Obama or his half brother, half sister and his grandmother? What exactly do they gain by saying this? Absolutely nothing? Forget weither he's going to be a good President or not, HE SHOULDN'T EVEN BE RUNNING FOR SUCH A POSITION. But im sure someone will just reply with some mudslinging comment as always. Ah well.

54 going on 12? You aren't contributing anything to the discussion. Normally I'd say your just a spammer but there doesn't seem to be any angle to spam a forum without a postcount. So as you can see im curious as to what your angle is here?

How about what does his Birth Certificate say which is the legal definition for place of birth.  I have a feeling he actually has a genuine birth certificate issued in Hawaii legally showing he is a born citizen of the US.  Quit blowing smoke steve-.

You're such a relentless troll steve-.  I have a right to make posts of my choosing my posts don't need your approval.

as interesting as this campaign has been, its nothing compared to how interested im going to be to watch Obama come down to earth and actually try and DO what he's promised.

It'll be a classic case of.. I TOLD U SO.

"wait.. but he said 250k?? why am I being taxed?? "

And again, Im not partisan, cant vote, not even a citizen, just calling it as I see it from an educated point of view.

It's reported a fake, no one is blowing smoke here, just a bit curious as to your exact angle? Other than stirring that giant pot of some awful smelling brown substance...

You're such a relentless troll steve-. I have a right to make posts of my choosing my posts don't need your approval.

Are you speaking from personal experience? Last time I checked posting my personal opinion wasn't considered trolling, especially when its on topic. Now If I where to simply spam an emote and say the sky is falling because of a democratic president to be in office that might be considered trolling, or flamebait. Take your pick. All you are doing is stirring that pot, you aren't contributing anything decent to this conversation. If anything the attitude you've displayed is exactly the kind of thing that people dispise in political conversations.

Thats enough said from me, I'm pretty much sick of the stirring.

Obama has a birth certificate from the state of Hawaii.  You can make all the demands you want of him to produce it for you.

on Oct 31, 2008

i said a credible course, not one from a person's blog-type entry.

that's ok, steve, you go on about your ways of being totally blinded by mccain's ads and such. it's too bad mccain isn't the man/candidate he was 8 years ago. i'd vote for that man/candidate. i would've voted for him in 2000 but he dropped out of the primaries before my state's primary was held. mccain used to be a politician you could believe and support back then. i know, you're far too young to know anything about the 'old' john mccain. he can't seem to campaign based on the issues these days. it's all scare tactics and fools such as you believe everything you are told from the right-wing. i feel for you. the really scarey thing is people such as yourself will be running the country some day.

and no, i do not care about civility. it was not given to me at anytime in the last few months and not a single moderator told the other person(s) he/they was/were wrong.

contributing to the discussion, you say? hell, boy, i contribute a hell of a lot here and what i say is based on FACT and actual life experiences, not hearsay provided by the right-wing and mccacin's ads.

say what you want, stevie boy. you haven't said anything yet that has been factual or true. i won't be back to read it, anyway. i'm history.

again, this post has been approved by a non-productive member of society, not an elitist who believes everything he's told.

Real quick before I go, I never said I support McCain. How's that saying go again? Assuming makes an ass out of you and me?

contributing to the discussion, you say? hell, boy, i contribute a hell of a lot here and what i say is based on FACT and actual life experiences, not hearsay provided by the right-wing and mccacin's ads.

I wasn't talking to you, "boy".

I'm not interested in dealing with your nonsense.  I made my chicken little metaphor and you jumped me for it.  Claiming to do so was the equavalent of pitching you know what at others.  Ridiculous of you.  I'll say it again Obama's proof of citizenship is legally made by his Hawaii birth certificate.  It's simply a legal fact.

on Oct 31, 2008

Im sure he has a valid B C... he wouldnt be running if he didn't

Still a liar though.

vStyler He can't hold a candle to the malarky in this thread, that's for sure.  Let me put on my tin foil helmet the sky is falling.

Big assumption.  But could be confirmed in a heartbeat - just ask the Governor of Hawaii to unseal it.  If it's valid, why does BO want to keep it sealed?  Of all the things that might require proof of citizenship, running for Pres would seem to be at the top of the list.  He apparently has a valid passport, which implies some things, but what does he have to lose by releasing his BC?

on Oct 31, 2008

LOL BDBF

Well, i'm not going to let any of this get me too stirred up, I do find it interesting though how vastly different peoples views can be on the exact same thing.

lastly I have to say, I feel im fairly intelligent and a good judge of character, I understand that George Bush is not a lot of people's favorite person, and I sincerely hope that that is why Obama is doing so well.. cos.. as a person.. as a candidate.. he is shockingly flawed in character, experience, honestly and policy....imo.

on Oct 31, 2008

The only thing Obama has to do is comply with the law.  All the smoke in this thread is a far cry from the requirements of the legal system.  If McCain thought there was a real BC issue with Obama he would be all over it and so would many others.
