The WSJ has a great piece on Obama’s nonsense that 95% of Americans will receive a tax cut.

“One of Barack Obama's most potent campaign claims is that he'll cut taxes for no less than 95% of "working families." He's even promising to cut taxes enough that the government's tax share of GDP will be no more than 18.2% -- which is lower than it is today.

It's a clever pitch, because it lets him pose as a middle-class tax cutter while disguising that he's also proposing one of the largest tax increases ever on the other 5%. But how does he conjure this miracle, especially since more than a third of all Americans already pay no income taxes at all? There are several sleights of hand, but the most creative is to redefine the meaning of "tax cut."

Obama doesn't have me fooled and never did since day one. The cost of these promises always hurt the people they say they intend to help. 40% that pay nothing will get more, the rich will take their money elsewhere, and the middle-class will be holding the bag. It's a pity more people don't read the Wall Street Journal, but even if they did and smell of "handout" in the air is enough to destroy reason in most.

My favorite Obama ad claims that McCain will not cut taxes for middle class families. Then later, he claims that he will cut middle class taxes by three times what McCain will.

I have to say that I am truly impressed with the average American that will be voting for Obama. I just can't seem to figure out how does someone vote for anyone who has so much bad background and who's policies are obviously more dangerous than helpful. The ability to ignore all the bad is mind boggling. It does make me question McCains military background though, I just don't seem to find any hint of a fighter in this man. He seems to be trying to come off as strong and mighty while at the same time saying thinsg like "Obama is not a bad man" with a voice as if talking to 5 year olds. He reminds me of the President from the movie The American President, who does not fight back when his opponent is slinging so much mud at him he could build Mount Everest behind the White House.

People just don't get it.  They are not looking at the big picture.  They hear they're being promised more money in their pockets and they follow Obama around like a puppy dog.  I noticed the college kids are voting for Obama because he's promising help with their school costs.

People don't get the fact they may get an extra $1,000 back from taxes and then receive a pink slip from their employer.

Today's news:  Pepsi Co is cutting 3,300 jobs as profit falls 10 percent.

This is the wave of the future if we tax the corps.  It's already starting to happen. .

You mispelled "will" there.

I'm resigned at this point to Obama winning. All I can hope for is that he doesn't tax me out of a job.

that is another thing I worry about, I recently opened a home business. I was hopying to eventually grow into something large, but with his tax policies I could be forced back into the rat race...

Personally, I don't think Obama is evil to be honest. He's just another American running for Preseident. It's just his background and policies are not what I agree with for this country and to see so many people falling so aggressively for him like he is some kind of rockstar/God/only one capable of fixing "everything", it worries me that people can be influenced so easily. I only wish to know is the majority of these Obama fans actually want him to win because they understand what he is for and the policies he plans to implement or do they simply see him as an alternative to what is happening today and expecting to somehow profit from him election?

Evil? No.

Terrible president? Yes.

Many are sharing that prayer right about now.
