Free for WinCustomize and Object Desktop Subscribers!
Published on October 14, 2008 By Island Dog In WinCustomize News

October is the month of ghouls and goblins, and aside from trick or treating or throwing a Halloween party, you can also “dress up”  your desktop for a spooky Halloween look.  Today, Stardock is screaming with joy as we present the MyColors Halloween them, which is free to WinCustomize Subscribers and Object Desktop subscribers.

This theme includes a creepy visual style to change the look of Windows with spectacular animations in the start menu and "please wait" dialog, along with a gruesome desktop gadget, and a freakishly designed icon pack with 64 unique icons, and wallpapers.  This is just about everything you need to transform your desktop into its own haunted place.

  • Object Desktop subscribers:  The MyColors theme will be added to your account automatically.
  • WinCustomize subscribers:  You can find a .zip file containing all the components in the Subscriber Resources area.

Either try Impulse it will list in the "my desktop" section, or here in your account registrations, under "Halloween"

Just got an e-mail from Stardock announcing the theme, and when I opened up Impulse, there is was for the first time!  YEAH!  (The skeleton doesn't show up on the start menu, but I'm just so thrilled that the theme finally was accessible, I'm not going to fall to pieces about the skeleton.....yet.)

Maybe my DH is right about me needing medication.

The start menu animations for XP need an updated version of WindowBlinds. That version is being tested and I will give an update when info is available. We didn't want to hold up the release since Halloween is closing in.

Make it quick please....lol. I love the Boo animation.....the skeleton would be the tops

I am an OD subscriber but not a WC subscriber. The MyColors skin did NOT appear in Impulse. How can I get it? Thanks! PS: I had this problem with the last skin released, too.

I whish somone at stardock would just say that it doesn't for XP.  At the very least when they believe the new windowblind for XP will be ready.  I don't mind if it is too late just be honest with me and tell me what the real deal is, if it's not going to be ready for this year it would be a disappoint but I can look forward to using next year.

Just tell me the honest truth so then we all know where the WB for Windows XP SP3 this year is just not going to happen.

Thank you
