This all very sad. I have installed My Colors with Impulse from a long time now. With all kinds of themes and stuff that is free. Plus what I have paid for too boot.
My Colors is a good program as is Impulse. I have no problems using it and do recommend it for any member or newbie. Sure there may be some problem related to your system. Not the program itself and if you have a problem - please let us know and we will try our best to work things out.
But as I say " There is nothing wrong with the program itself and it will not uninstall wb!"
Webgizmos has a problem with his machine and we hope to get things resolved soon.

I personally just hate the MyColors system, and above all if all MyColors theme (even free) have WindowBlinds encrypted images, whatever quality are the skins, I just don't care because i can't do ports for my own use (and/or for others ...) and Stardock can keep them ...

Two monthes ago i bought Camouflage: Stardock said there will be an un-crypted version of it as a .suite. We're still waiting, and i'm pretty sure we will wait much more longer ...

Though if you add that to how things are turning with Impulse which i may use for a little % of it's possibilities (when it will be working correctly ...) because i just don't care of others, and that on the part i'm interested in, the new software versions are very unsatisfying me, ex:
- IconPackager V4 is perhaps according better with the new UI of Stardock's, but it has less possibilities than the V3 version according to recolor exactly the way i want any package and save it as a new one),
- Soundpackager is breaking all system sounds if you have the bad idea to uninstall it,
- CursorFX format can't be renamed as .zip and be open in way to edit cursors easyly,
- No more able to choose exactly where i want things on my HD (and surely not in the C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\Stardock\ folder (for a part of them because Stardock's stuff is everywhere over the disk ...) and so on ...
though i just really wonder if i'll renew my ODNT subscription i get since years and years ...

Yep, i already can see some of you, coming around to tell me things are in evolution and will be fixed (perhaps) a day, but i'm pretty sure quiet a lot of "old" buddy's over here are feeling i bit like i do ...

I actually decided to try out the MyColors themes finally, even though I was hesitant at first, I actually installed and applied all 4 free themes last night without any problems. I found that whether applying them with MyColors or ThemeManager they all seemed to work fine either way. This new Burgundy theme is definitely the best looking of the 4 free ones so far.

There's a bug in the Vista version. If you dock the taskbar to the top of the screen, every time you click the start button it opens the user account control panel applet. I'm starting to think I'm the only person that puts the taskbar at the top anymore

I tend to agree with some of the others in that I don't care to install MyColors. I understand that it probably works very well and there are few problems with it. But, as a long time user of WindowBlinds and the other applications by Stardock I'm more pleased with not having to install yet another 'theme manager' like program.

MyColors is a great way to get new users to easily apply themes and change thier UIs. The encryption is also a useful and effetive way to keep Stardock designs from being pirated. Please, just keep in mind Stardock that not everyone is going to want MyColors and I hope that not everything from 'Stardock Designs' will be coming out for it only. So far it hasn't, lets keep it that way

Hello, I downloaded the new Gloss Burgundy theme. Awesome!! I am somewhat hesitant about downloading Impluse so I downloaded My Colors to get this theme. I am NOT HAPPY that My Colors downloaded all my personal photos from my pictures and put them into the My Colors wallpaper. How can I delete all of my personal photos from the My Colors wallpaper? Is there any way to use the Gloss Burgundy theme WITHOUT My Colors or Impulse? I have theme manager but can't figure out how to add it. Thank you.

... and in same time, it's also a perfect way to keep Stardock's old skinners (i mean those who do ports) far away to do what they used to ...

If pirates want the designs, they'll get them a way or another, they know how to do, or if they don't know yet, there will be not much time for them to know

Four years from now when a new windows operating system comes out, these new skins may not look right when applied and I won't be able to update them as I'm doing now with the old XP skins. Having to think about it now, the investment leaves the future dark to me. Those comments make me think about it much deeper. Unless I really and extremely LOVE a suite, I won't buy anymore encrypted suite. But if a nice skin comes from a special skinner I admire, I'd just buy it. I have duplicated Star Wars windowblinds made by the skin factory in the past from scratch, but I won't be doing that anymore.

Very nice. Good work guys. And the icons are for Vista too.

Hi, My main problem with this theme is the buttons. I haven't had any problem with MyColors or the themes themselves. I don't mind the MyColors application. The WB files even show up in WindowBlinds UI so I guess you can apply them separately. (I haven't tried yet). Have a look at this image: . I can't see half the text. Other themes are fine. What's up? - Fred

Never mind on my last post. It is the Google.com/ig theme that I am using, which looks almost exactly like the default Google.com theme. The buttons are resized. Other pages are fine. I look forward to more great themes. Thanks.

Can someone explain the supposed encrypted skins to me? Maybe I'm dense, but I realize the file has an extension of .MyColors, but I'm able to extract everything from it without even launching the MyColors app. I installed MyColors, installed the themes, but I've yet to actually run the MyColors app, I just extract stuff from the file. Am I just special?

I applied the theme last night from My Colors via Impulse and everything worked just fine. A very nice theme as well!!!

Actually it is not that at all there Elijah Baley. It is you have another set of fonts loaded from another wb. You need to logoff and log back in. It should display correctly then. As seen here
