Well it looks like Tropical Storm/Hurricane Fay is headed our way.  It probably should be here sometime early tomorrow, but I don’t expect it to be too bad.  They obviously closed down school tomorrow, which is funny since today was the first day of school.  I just need to bring in some chairs and plants from outside and that is about all I’m going to do.

Went to get the store to get some gas and some food, and they were both crazy with stupid people running around like an asteroid was about to hit.

The first squalls are starting to move in, so to anyone else in Florida, keep safe and keep your head down.  Please use this thread to check-in and let everyone know how you are doing.

What a fool

I'd say the dumbass got what he was after......attention......hospitalization was just a bonus.

Same thing I think every time I see/read about a jackass who wiped out on a crotch rocket.

Were getting some of the outer bands in Charleston.
Not too bad...just a little rain so far.

It look's like Jax is going to get the brunt of it.

Got hammered pretty good all night but fortunately no loss of power although there were more than 100,000 out all over town.

Still pretty windy but happy to be watching Fay's ass wobble off into the distance.

Power's been iffy here. We've lost it at least six different times....longest being late Wed night. Flooding is getting extensive tho. They evacuated part of one of the local hospitals because of a retention pond failure.

You guys up North hang in there. It looks like Fay's on her way to her 4th landfall..

Here on the SunCoast we've been more than lucky. Didn't get any thing to speak of the day she hit and only a smattering of rain since. And we could use a little water - just not 30" all at one time...
