One of the lefties favorite arguements here on JU is "polls". A certain obsessive Bush hater swears by every poll that somehow supports his position. Although he seems to discredit any poll that shows the opposite. Now we have another post about Bush's approval ratings. Now every person, let me make that, every normal person should realize that media polls are biased and manipulated. Let's look at that recent CBS "poll".

Total Respondents 808

Wow. 808 people polled. Yet you expect us to believe this accurately represents the population of the United States?

Now here is the interesting part.

Repub 207, Dem 273, Indep 328

Let's have a poll of more democrats than republicans and wonder what the outcome will be. This clearly shows how the media manipulates the polls to what they want it to say. But anyways, let's move on.

Now our lefties here claim such things as conservatives are "going down", and that we are the "minority" in the country. Nothing can be further than the truth. You can whine, complain and hate Bush all you want. However, the truth is nothing is going to get Bush out of office. Will you people ever realize that the reason that "idiots" like Bush get elected is because democrats are so far out of touch?

So since you guys love polls so much, let's take a look at some polls that about your positions.

Governor Blanco and Mayor Nagin are to blame for the catastrophic response to Hurricane Katrina. Over 40% of the country says that they are to blame for the inadequate response; only 29% blame the federal government.

Interesting. I thought the liberals said Bush caused Katrina and was responsible for everything that happened afterwards. The polls shows that the public thinks the local government is to blame, will you change your position now liberals. The poll says so.

Four years after the worst terrorist attacks on U.S. soil, nearly three quarters of Americans believe the government did a good job helping the economy recover from Sept. 11.

An AP-Ipsos poll found there was general satisfaction with the economic relief efforts from Congress and the Bush administration among people in all gender, race, educational and age categories.

What is this? Col tells me Bush didn't help and the economy is terrible. The poll says otherwise, will you change your opinion?

Now here is something democrats just don't understand. They support gay marriage, but the polls show otherwise.

Public opposition to "marriages" between homosexuals is at an all-time high, according to a poll released yesterday. When asked whether they thought same-sex "marriages" should be recognized by the law as valid and come with the same rights as traditional marriages, 68 percent of the respondents in the CNN/USA Today/Gallup poll said they should not. Twenty-eight percent said same-sex "marriages" should be valid and 4 percent had no opinion.

Out of touch, perhaps?

Now here the poll that shatters the democrats completely. Democrats want you to think religious people are in the minority in this country, and that the few who don't "believe" are the majority. The poll says you are wrong again.

Nearly all U.S. respondents said faith is important to them and only 2 percent said they do not believe in God. Almost 40 percent said religious leaders should try to sway policymakers, notably higher than in other countries.

Only 2 percent? That's not a good percentage to go after for votes democrats. Maybe you should rethink your policies.

Interesting enough, I just read today that americans calling themselves liberal are only 20% of the population, while those calling themselves Conservative are 34% and Moderate is at 45% (I guess the other 1 percent are just clueless).  Given the poll number from CBS that you show and the results, if we weight them to be indicative of the population at large, we see that instead of 38%, Bush is actually at 48%.

So much for "BlatherGate" CBS and objective reporting.
