A new variant of Mac OS X for Intel began surfacing on Internet sites early Thursday, boasting the ability to run on any x86 based computer. The leak has apparently been cracked to bypass the protections that prevent Apple's development kits from running on any unofficial system

I came across OSX for x86 on a usenet group, but it wouldn't install past the point of looking for the hardware validation. I poked around in the ISO, but I'm not enough of a progammer/hacker to tell what part needed "fixing" to get it to install.

Apparently there's a lot of interest in this. Slashdot has a link to the install info http://www.osx86project.org/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=19&Itemid=2 but it looks like the Slashdot effect took their server down.
