Could someone comment on its stability and whether it's taking too many resources? I'm still shilly-shally about using it before it goes final. Thanks.

I've been using 1.0.509 for quite a while now, and it seems to work really well. No complaints.

does it have to be always running or can you use it only when you need to?

I have the previous version installed but I quit using it because it keep stalling while loading - some little window called "gcasDTservholder" pops up in the corner and will not dissappear - and it affects and slows down my other start-up programs. Maybe this was corrected in the new release.

Hmmm... IMHO it should update itself when you check for updates. Oh well, it's still a beta i guess.

I've been using it for a couple months...it works fine, no error/little windows, no slow-downs...no complaints.
TexasJoe, I believe you can configure it that way. I'm not positive though..I'm at work and can't look at the options.

No it doesn't have to be always running. I only use occassionally to check the system for nasties.

I agree, been using it for months and love it...no problems.

I have that screen pop up also although it closes itself after a few seconds, I think its checking your startups for bugs

thank y'all! I'm now using it. I'm pretty much impressed. My mouse adopted it! If MS could also integrate an antivirus technology witin the same interface, my mouse would love it! No spyware detected...

My little window stays open for a long while - eventually causing the system to slow while booting. Sometimes the little window never goes away at all - therefore causing me to restart the program many times.

Kona, I think that's probably a result of a corrupted install. If it was me, I'd download the installer and try again.

A corrupted download from MS? Surely not!

I've been using it since it first went Beta, and I've never had any problems with it. Great program. Uses almost no CPU usage on my computer, and I have an Intel Pentium 4 with HT, 2.8 ghz. 516 RAM, no problems here.

How does it compare against Adaware and Spybot S&D?
