There is an interesting discussion going on here Link about the "possibility" of Apple using Intel chips.

Now with technical reasons behind, if Apple were to announce today that OSX was available for PC's, would you make the "switch"?

I have no problem admitting when I make a mistake, but that doesn't apply here.

Martin&Lewis, Abbot&Costello,etc.

The quote was no more than a 'straight man'.

The subsequent comment is no more than a 'punchline quip'.

The problem is not a question of clarity of what was 'said' but one of interpretation where no was warranted.

yes but many of those one liners was aimed at the "straight man" in a playful way ...

the Question was both clarity as well as interpretation...

the best way to have handled it would have been

"Is that comment directed at me?"

"no it wasent.. Im sorry if you took it that way but that wasent my meaning"

the ensueing drama that has folded in to more than just this thread was unnecessary..

IMO, the only one that should be getting an appology would be WebGizmos..

When you quote someone, the dialogue following refers to the quote. If you do not understand that concept, then you should refrain from using the quote function until you do.

Comprehension is not the problem, poor choice of words is. The original text reads exactly as it was written, hence the confusion and insult.

Sadly, this is another thread destroyed by this needless fracas. I don't want to see this subject interjecting anywhere else.
