I just finished watching season 3 of Star Trek: Discovery. I thought we had a thread on this show, but I couldn't find it, so we'll just start with this one. I've always been a huge Star Trek fan and I've watched Discovery since the beginning. I like the show overall but didn't care much for the whole remake of the Klingons and a bit of that story in the first season.

I liked season 3 and thought they did a good progression with jumping into the future and starting to rebuild the Federation. Did any of you watch?

I want this show to die so badly.  I can't stand watching a show where everyone in command cries through an entire season.  Or hey, promote your lowest-ranking person to the second in command slot.  This show has a lot of promise and they are throwing it away on nonsense. The actors are all good, the show has promise but god help me I turn it off every time Burnham typically disobeys orders or starts crying.

I've always been a huge Star Trek fan too. I've seen all of the original episodes multiple times. I am currently re-watching SNG, Voyager and Enterprise on Hulu. I tried to watch Discovery and made it 20 minutes into the first episode. The Sophomoric behavior on the bridge turned me off. Maybe I was just in a bad mood.

-Star Trek Discovery is A.W.E.S.O.M.E. ! !

-I have watched Everything Star Trek and this is the Best continuation of the older series I could have ever dreamed of.

-I can't understand for the life of me why any "Trekkie" or sci-fi nerd wouldn't Love it

Star Trek Discovery ROCKS !

I watched the earlier Star Trek series and enjoyed them very much; however, I have not begun watching Discovery as yet, largely because I was already invested in other series when it first began and just never got around to it.  I do believe that I can catch up with it on one of our free streaming channels, and now that this thread has jogged my memory I shall take a look later on.

Of all the previous Star Trek series, Voyager was/is my favourite, I think because it departed from male captaincies to having a female captain and was set in another, previously unexplored universe.  That doesn't mean to say that the other series weren't good, though.  While the first series was ground-breaking and took us to new heights, I liked STNG a bit more, I think because Patrick Stewart was enigmatic and portrayed a convincing starship captain.

Deep Space Nine was also good, but I don't hear about it too often during 'Trek' conversations
