From what I can tell this is immediately and consistently crashing my Windows Explorer.  Win10Home64bit.  Uninstalled the 1st beta, rebooted, ran the purge routine, rebooted, ran this install, rebooted, rebooted again see if it straightened out.  Uninstalled this, rebooted, ran the purge routine, rebooted, reinstalled this, rebooted, same result.

If nobody else is having a problem, could just be me.

I'm waiting for when it comes out of beta. Don't need the craziness right now.

Ya Ross you have plenty of "new" and "exciting" things to keep you occupied, I'd be looking for "mellow" too.

Installed it again and Explorer.exe is behaving itself.  The first 2 times I installed I had disabled my antivirus and got a Windows security warning about "unrecognized" or something, which I clicked through.  This time I left my antivirus enabled and didn't get the Windows warning. (?)

I used to love running betas then I got bit big time so no more betas for this person. Except for Winstep which has proven to be very stable. I will indulge in Deskscapes once it too is stable. Can't afford issues with his lappy. I ran version 8 for a bit and fell in love with it.

Downloaded  it and my AVG antivirius prevented it's installation at first...it scanned it it seemed forever... then permitted it to run saying it was safe. Not sure what is in the installation exe that triggers the antivirius...but if you have AVG paid, let it go through its scan and it will allow installation.

Maybe this is a dumb question BUT here goes anyway! Is it necessary to purge/deactivate before installing this second beta version or can this update be run on top of the first beta?

I did the Purge first but it should work try it ..
