This week we released a new customization app called ShadowFX. This allows you to add customizable drop shadows to windows in Windows 8. The ShadowFX gallery on WinCustomize is now open, so people can now create their own shadows and share with others to download and use.
I will have an article up soon on how to create a shadow, but it’s actually very simple. It’s just the graphic files and editing the theme.sfx file. Take a look at the default shadow in the ShadowFX directory and you’ll get an idea of how it works.
