What's the last movie you saw?  Doesn't matter if it was at home or at a theater.

Last one I saw was Captain Philips.  I thought it a pretty good movie, especially since it was based on real events.

the Hobbit - Desolation of Smaug on the day it came out in Kona!  Loved almost every second (hated the spiders).

Snow White and the Huntsman
 That was a good movie!

The Birdcage....it always makes me laugh!!

It's not a movie, but lately I've been watching a TV series called Orphan Black.  It's about a woman who discovers she is one of several clones and who is constantly on the run from an evil corporation which wants to conduct tests/experiments to discover how she could conceive when the others cannot.

The actress, Tatiana Maslany, plays 7 clones who look identical yet have very individual personalities and even nationalities.  To say this actress is talented is an understatement.  She is extremely talented and can pull off several accents quite convincingly.  9.9 out of 10 and well worth a look if you're into sci-fi thrillers.

I watched it last weekend too. Torrented it, LOL. And i actually thoght it was terrible. It had good premise, but not the story IMO. The screenplay made the movie totally disjointed, for the lack of better words. I wanted originally to go and see it at cinema, cause the trailer looked fairly good and it had awesome cast, but glad i did not. George Clooney needs to stick to acting i say.

The next day i saw American Gangster with Denzel Washington, that one was surely better. But bit too long and with somewhat weird and anticlimatic ending.

@Starkers> for sure original Total Recall was better. I only remember 3 things from this new one> Jessica Biel, Colin Farrel playing Beethoven on piano (these are the good/beutiful things) and then camera looking every 5 seconds into some kind of lightsource with lens flares and bokeh and shit. Terrible cinematography.

X men days of futures past.

It had a bad title, bad plot, numerous GAPING plot holes, the music was bad, and the audience was partly obnoxious but lucky distracted me from the terrible movie. A friend of mine I saw it which happens to like almost everything so it was still five stars in his (ignorant) eyes. Thank god its the last one in the series...

At least I got to see my wife Jennifer Lawrence even if she was blue....but still hot.

three stars.

X-men: Days of Future Past- Best superhero movie of all time.

wow, really?  can you elaborate?

I don't know about BEST superhero movie but if you like X-men without being a total comic book purist you will probably like it. It was my favorite X-men film, lots of good action and acting just good enough to make you care about what is going on. Assuming you're already somewhat of an X-men fan anyways.

X-men comics are full of time travel/alternate dimension none-sense and this always creates plot holes. You can either try not to think about it too hard and enjoy it on that level or just stop paying attention to the whole franchise.

And it is not the last one if you watched all the credits.

We rented Non-Stop with Liam Neeson last night.  It was actually real good and I recommend giving it a watch.

Sometimes it doesn't need to be new movies that you watched.  In the last week I watched Undertaking Betty (Plots with a View) and Noises Off.   If you need some good laughs these two should do it for you.

Yeah, I like Liam Neeson as well.  As yet I haven't seen The A-team with him in it, but I've liked everything else I've seen him in... especially Nell with Jodie Foster, which I saw recently.  A top movie, that!  He was good in Darkman as well.

The Most recent... Can Heironymous Merkin Ever Forget Mercy Humppe and Find True Happiness.

Don't believe me?  Well Google it, then.
