What's the last movie you saw? Doesn't matter if it was at home or at a theater.
Last one I saw was Captain Philips. I thought it a pretty good movie, especially since it was based on real events.
Hehe, but it'll be your turn to sit through 2 rounds of love-sick tripe next weekend.
Mind you, Kiss of the Vampire was more a love story than a horror flick, and I happily sat through that.
Just watched "Fitzcaraldo" .... excellent film.
So i have seen American Sniper today...oh, yesterday. Anyway, it was indeed good, but TBF not as good as i expected. I thought, based on the trailer, its going to be more psychological, contain more drama, emotions...while it was more centered on action and sort of descriptive biographical movie.
Another question is, can you actually kill people 1000 meters away with a Dragunov and PSO-1 scope....
"The Imitation Game".... http://www.turing.org.uk/scrapbook/machine.html .... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Imitation_Game .... As an historical thriller it was very good. But much of what was in the movie was just plain Hollywood.
Happy New Year
Hector and the search for happiness.liked it
The King's Speech.... again... quality stuff...
I watched one of the greatest movies ever made last night... it inspires one to think about life as we think we know it. The movie is called Contact starring Jodie Foster and Matthew McConaughey It was done in 1997, and if you've never seen it, you don't know what your missing. The only other movie that even comes close to it is The Abyss, which is a movie I wish would actually come true right now, we need it.
I really enjoyed Contact... right up until they made the alien being in her late father's image... a real cop out.. but essentially...the film was well done, great concept...
Ah, but the alien took on that appearance so she wouldn't be scared to death by his hideous appearance and enormous penis shaped like a corkscrew..
BTW, that's not my interpretation. Matthew McConoughey apparently came up with that one during an interview with Jodi Foster about the movie.
As for the Abyss, I have that on DVD and might just pull it out for another viewing this afternoon. It's a movie that can stand another viewing, despite having seen it a half dozen times before.
Gone Girl
Saw Unbroken and then American Sniper today. I liked Unbroken better, but both were worth watching.
American Sniper... intense, thought provoking.
Saw American Sniper this weekend. An amazing movie.
Saw the Johnny Depp movie "Mortdecai" today. Not funny, not good. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
