Does it replace SDC?

Hi

i believe stardock central manages updates for games and all other stardock apps including object desktop.  This new Manger, when installed does recommend removing Stardock Central, however it is not required.  This Manager just works with Object Desktop components, no games, for those who dont use the games.

Cheers

I like the "new" icon. The old Modern one looked just plain awful on my dock. Well done, SD, so long, SDC.

I get to play now. Ha ha........

I have a problem. Now that things have changed in the SD Store. My info there says my ODNT sub expires in 51 days. I am good until Dec. 2016. Can someone fix/explain this please?

Edit: It shows correctly in ODM.

You really need to contact support@stardock.com for issues relating to your account.

Question

I haven't installed the new download manager yet. I actually liked just going to the store and My Downloads. You use to see the serial numbers for each program for ones account. Everything bundled now in the download manager shows no serials.

Do they show if you access them from the new Manager?

on Oct 11, 2013

it won't let me log in, keeps telling me to try again, I reset my password but didn't help.

On the bright side I like the new icon too.

You can still go to the store and download apps individually if you wish.  The serial numbers are still there, and you can also view your serials in the OD app.

I can see the OD serial.

If you click on the + sign under the Object Desktop Manager you can download each program you want. However there are no serial numbers showing doing it this way. Each program use to have it's own serial number.

Any app you own as part of ObjectDesktop uses the same ObjectDesktop serial number and always has done.

As it happens there is no need for the serial number as you should not be using it during product activation at all in anything recent.

In ODM if you go to Installed and then right click on a program you will see that there is an option to see the serial number.

SDC also had the same option.

Ah, I didn't think before installing it. No OD+ and No MPC+ for me in ODM.
