I wanted to start a thread just for the Xbox One discussions for people who have pre-ordered or thinking about picking one up. I have my pre-order in and ready for the release.

500$
I have three kids two in high school and one in primary school. I don't have that kind of money. I can't believe that a console with games that will be selling probably in the 60 plus bracket can be sold for that much.
Just to get started you'll probably have to cash up 1K for the multiple controllers and a few games.
I won't be buying one for a while.
With consoles getting closer and closer to what classicaly has been defined as a 'PC', I'm not suprised at the price point.
That being said, I will take a 'wait and see' approach to the XBOX ONE. Many of their proposed policies have changed multiple times since they were first announced, in many cases going back and forth to varying degrees depending on which 'official' microsoft news source you listen too.
For me, pre-ordering is out of the question as long as 'what' you will be getting at least from a policy of use standpoint is still very much a toss-up. Hopefully things work out well, but I'll just wait till everything gets more set in stone.
I have a 360 but it seems like there's not much point in consoles any more. Every game worth playing on consoles is released on PC too. And considering there's already lots of PCs with better hardware than the new consoles are rumored to have, that'll probably continue to be the case.
Good overview video.
