Vagary.tv has put up their review  Elemetal: Fallen Enchantress and gave it a 5/5!

“Elemental: Fallen Enchantress is the rare game that reaches in many directions, combining a vast array of different ideas, and combining them in a compelling and amazingly successful way.  Stardock was able to take the unfortunate circumstances surrounding the first Elemental game’s release and harness those lessons learned, constructing one of this year’s best strategy games. Hybrids are very difficult to make successful, as their systems tend to be shallow. Every portion of Fallen Enchantress is deep and well designed, resulting in a game that has RPG elements and strategy elements that are well worth a thorough exploration.”

Quoting EvilMario, reply 3and they are rather wrong ..

The game is OK right now but it's not 5/5.. it has the potential of being 5/5..

Yes, because opinions of others tend to be wrong, especially if they differ from ours.

wow that is an annoying post.. Why? because this was a statement and you did not add anything to the argument.

OK I'll play ball do you REALLY think this game is a 5/5?

I think that the game exudes depth in enough areas that I'm willing to cut it some slack for the diplomacy.

By the by, in our (Vagary.tv's) review scoring system, 5/5 doesn't necessarily indicate perfection. Basically:

1/5 Lights your hard drive on fire

2/5 Do not play this. It sucks.

3/5 Game with very few standout features. Hard to recommend to those other than obsessed genre fans.

4/5 A good game. Must play for genre fans.

5/5 A great game. One with broader appeal: a cutting edge game with great ideas and execution.

This is one of those cases where I'd like to point at Fallen Enchantress and say: look- this system has some fantastic things going on. Everyone should take a look, and buy it, and make sure we get more of it. Is it perfect? No. Then again I don't think I've played any game that is. It certainly blends genres in a fantastic way- maybe too well. My first couple playthroughs I got so entranced in the RPG aspects that I... forgot about empire building. But anyway... great game, does some new things, play it, hope for sequels/add-ons to increase the depth of some of the ancillary systems.
