The Tiles 1.09 beta for registered users and Object Desktop subscribers is now available.  Tiles works by creating a side-bar on a user’s display. At the top of the side-bar are labels for each page such as ‘My Tiles’ or ‘Documents’ or ‘Apps’. Users can then drag and drop programs, documents, or website URLs onto Tiles. When the program is inactive, it appears as an icon. When it is active, it appears as a live preview tile.

New in this beta update:

  • New UI
  • Modern UI applications now show in the running applications list
  • Option to make a modern UI apps only page
  • Frequently run apps is now tweaked to sort better and to handle unicode setups
  • Option to recolour metro skin (and default OS skin on Win8),
  • Various bug fixes

Tiles is available as a free download with additional features available for purchase, as well as a full version at $9.95 for instant access to all of the features or as part of the award-winning full suite of desktop utilities, at or as part of Stardock’s award-winning full suite of desktop utilities, Object Desktop.

I get the same thing and I'm also using Vista. However, mine works and loads up on screen but when I right-click it and try to load Tiles Config, that's when I'll get the error. I'm going back to v1.00 for now.
