I have been using Gmail as my primary e-mail since before it was public.  I don’t use the web interface anymore because it really has become junk and too crowded.  Hotmail just introduced Outlook.com and so far I’m really liking it.  It has a simple and clean interface.  The only downfall right now is it cannot accept IMAP from imported e-mails, but supposedly it will be supported soon.

After that, I might make the switch.

Snowman is antiquated and still 'only' use Office Outlook with POP3.

I've got a shit internet connection so maintaining an IMAP setup would be a friggin drag.
But then again.... I only check my email when I'm at home. No need (nor want) to check my email when not at home.

Not much not to like.

Up to 25mb (in one file or total) emails. Larger? Use SkyDrive, and it's integrated. Automatic folders- really great if you're mobile and don't want to spend time organizing. Privacy protection- in one view you get ads, but they're totally random, not generated from scanning your mail - the win? Google Creep factor disappeared. Social media integration but in less 'detail'. Very clean interface.

I like the "Mail" change.....lots of control..... but the "People" part still sucks. Categories, categories, categories....don't they read feedback? There needs to be a list option (columns) and you should be able to sort by company name. I don't particularly like having to look at everyone's avatar. There should be an option to turn that off.

I'm curious to see what changes they make to the calendar......if they don't have categories like the real outlook, they're wasting their time. That would be the BIG WIN over Google. I hate multiple calendars vs. categories.

I hate Outlook ever since my Hotmail account through college was switched to it and desperately want Hotmail back.

Man! ID! I clicked on your link to check it out and it automatically changed my MSN mail over without even asking if I wanted to. Now, I just hope I like it cause looks like I am stuck now!

You can change it back frankief. I think it was on the left sidebar where the option was...could be right...but its there somewhere.

Thanks Steve, found it! The new format does not seem to work too well on my satellite connection, it is a bit slow.

Yeah, you can switch back, but it's just a matter of time before it will switch everyone over.
