Maybe let the politicos play with it, they may learn something. Good job ID. Letting us know about it I mean.
I love the quotes at the front!
I see what you did there.
lolol
I just read the Small Print, at the bottom of the full page ad, for "The Political Machine 2012". (The full page ad appears to be tantamount to a new home-page for this new game.)
To my surprise, I see where this Ad now says (in effect) that everyone will have to use Steam, to play the game. Is this accurate? I hope not. I placed my pre-order (a few weeks ago) via the Stardock Store site, so I assumed that the game would also be available as a down-load on the Stardock Store site. (Essentially, that is the way that I purchased, and have been playing Elemental: Fallen Enchantress.)
So, to repeat the question, will all purchasers of "The Political Machine 2012" have to use Steam? If your earlier advertisements for this game included the "Steam Warning", then I guess my purchase is a case of: Shame on me. But if your earlier Ad's did not include this statement, then I think we have a case of: Shame on you.
Admittedly, my Pre-Order Purchase is only costing me $6.95, so I won't bother asking for a refund in any event.
Would appreciate an answer to my question, though ... Thanks.
The first half had me sold, the second half seemed like an advertisement for bobble heads.
@orion I pre-ordered the game at the beginning of June and it was advertised as a steam game at the time and has since. I know the game is going to be run through steam and I don't know if they'll be running it off of any other platform.
This is the Shit !
Edit: Love what you guys produced, Still there was a pun in there
i thought it was hilarious.. i would play this game....
The Steam notice has been there since the website was updated for the new game.
Thanks, Island Dog, for the courtesy of a prompt response/answer to my question. If, as you (and Koskee) say, the "Steam Warning" was always there, then the mistake is simply mine. So be it. I may (or may not) use Steam -- probably won't. I may (or may not) buy a second copy, by way of Gamestop, if that is possible. It's not a big deal in any event. Thanks, again!
The 2012 version requires Steam to be used, so regardless of where it's purchased the key has to be redeemed on Steam.
