You might have received an e-mail that Impulse will no longer support download for Stardock software such as WindowBlinds, IconPackager, etc.  I know many of you already know this and have already downloaded the beta, but I wanted to put out another reminder for those who don’t visit the forums often.

There are now two ways in which you can download and update your Stardock apps.

Stardock Central (beta)

SDC is the new downloader for your apps.  It offers a quick and easy way to keep apps updated and download any new apps you don’t have.  Right now it’s still in beta, but everyone can try it out.

Download SDC here - https://www.stardock.com/stardockcentral/

Via the web

The second way to get and update your software is via the web.  Login to your account and you have the full list of software (and games) you have purchased and you find the download links there with them.

My SDC shows that CursorFX v2.10 as an update.

I have updated CursorFX 6 times already hoping this message would go away, no such luck, but as ID says SDC is still in beta.

No biggie,I can live with this false message until SDC is finalized!

Can you email support@stardock.com so we can send you a log collection tool and see if we can fix this?

If you happen to have any games through Impulse, though, you may still need it for updates and the like.

The list of games currently available directly from Stardock is:

Demigod
Elemental: War of Magic
Elemental: Fallen Enchantress Beta
GalCiv I: Ultimate*
GalCiv II: Ultimate
Sins of a Solar Empire: Trinity

Anything else would have to go through Impulse/Gamestop for now.

*Not available through SDC

For applications, yes, ditch it!

Still got some games on Impulse? Keep it, but get SDC for the applications.

It might have some leftover registry data that isn't getting overwritten.  Send support@stardock.com a line and we can track it down for you.
