PCWorld has published their review of Stardock Tiles.

“There are those for whom the standard Windows interface never quite cuts the mustard. Stardock software has made a living off XP/Vista/Window 7 malcontents for quite a while now with desktop utilities that enhance the look of Windows and mimic the best features of other operating systems. Tiles, which can be installed as a standalone program or as part of the Object Desktop suite, falls into the latter category, making current versions of Windows look more like the upcoming Metro interface sported by Windows 8.”

Indeed.

Odd how they glaze over the fact that Tiles came along well ahead of W8, and accepts 'skins'. I think they also missed how Tiles does so much more than the dock in W8 [at this point].

Nice review. Tiles hasn't grown on me yet. I've tried it a couple times but end up taking it off my screen pretty quickly. I have to find a way to integrate it into how I like my desktop to feel and just haven't yet.
