Tablets are pretty hot right now.  The iPad has dominated since release and caused a wave of other companies to try and put their foot into the game.  It’s also rumored Microsoft is going to show off the Windows 8 tablet UI soon, so the tablet game is going to get even hotter in the next year or so.

Question for you is….do you have a Tablet device or plan to purchase one in the next year?

not a tablet but probably a Kindle 3

The price of tablets is higher than the price of many laptops. I can't see paying more to get less.....

No, I don't have a tablet device.

No, I don't plan to purchase one in the next year.

An iPad(1), which I enjoy immensely.

I'd love one. I have a Pandigital Novel Color Ereader that has WIFI. It acts pretty much as a tablet except that it has Android 2.0 on it. A bit slow and no flash.

I can check mail, play games, watch vids and listen to music. Oh, and read books. 9" resistive screen. Has a stylus.

First generation iPad.  Use it more than the laptop.

Maybe somthing with an Android OS.   Apple is such an A _ _ Hole!

Yes.  An iPad 1G, and a Kindle 3 for backpacking into the mountains.

I have an iPad(1). As a big expensive iPod Touch, I found it's really only useful for traveling.  Otherwise, you can't really run anything on it except flash-grade games and mini-applications.

I won't be buying another one until it can replace a laptop (re: a Windows 7 or 8 one).  Then I can use it for all of the things a iPad is currently good for as well as all the things a laptop is great for.
