Miner Wars 2081 is an underground/space shooter in a fully destructible environment.  It is still in pre-alpha development but the developer has released a demo to show how the game is shaping up.

Miner Wars 2081 demo

While in pre-alpha, you can purchase Miner Wars for a 70% discount to help fund development.  I picked it up for just over $10 and even though it is in very early development, I had fun and can’t wait for the final release.

You can grab Miner Wars 2081 from Impulse for just $13.95 at this time.

Yeah, I've been eying this game for a few weeks now.

I'm really thinking about jumping on it.

This does look pretty awesome. I'll give the demo a spin when I get some time. What is it exactly?

I picked it up awhile back and it could certainly be fun.  Nice looking graphics.  You WON'T be wanting to play the alpha all that long (there's not a hell of a lot to it), but the price isn't all that shabby.  Give the demo a whirl and pick it up if you can see the potential.

If by "all that long" you mean "more than five minutes" you sir are a genius.

I would like to think the game will be pretty good.

I have no idea.

heh.  Think I played around with it for about 15 minutes.  It's all a matter of what the dev's do with what they've created.  It could be pretty awesome.. it could be not so great.  Wayyyyyyy to hard to say for sure what the finished product will be like.
