Earlier today WindowBlinds 7.2 was released, and right behind that the update for SkinStudio has been updated as well.  SkinStudio is the application where you can create beautiful and functional skins for use in WindowBlinds.  This latest release supports the v7.2 update of WindowBlinds.

Update includes:

  • Added support for new IE9 sections
  • Added support for updated advanced glass sections

SkinStudio is a free application!  A Pro version with enhanced features is available as well.

while I do appreciate this addition to skinning this seems to have been rushed into distribution without some good old fashion checking.

hitting the previous button from the "edit button control" page skips both the ie9 and custom pages.

hitting the next button from the "custom pages" skips the ie9 page.

the only direct access to the ie9 pages is from the sidebar menu.

where is the presentation, you know that part about being able to see what you are doing before applying the skin.

new button: DWM on/off. I still don't know what the DWM designation is for or how it impacts a blind however turning it on and off has no effect as there is no presentation to begin with.

glass sections???

again, I do appreciate the update as ie9 is hardwired into the OS and is my preferred browser, thank you.

**edit** while all of this is all true I'm still using ie8
