I like to design things, but colors is something I always have a hard time with. Whether it is coming up with a matching palette, or just finding some inspiration for a new color theme, I need assistance to get it right. I recently stumbled upon a web application from Adobe called Kuler. This lets you create and share color themes right from your desktop, and for those looking for inspiration, you can browse through the thousands of themes that others have shared.
If you have an image in which you like the colors being used, Kuler can create a color theme from that image. The same goes with a particular color, Kuler will take that color and come up with a complete theme based on that color. I have used Kuler in several projects and the color themes that I found were really beautiful, and came in very useful in the projects I was creating.
The really cool part is there is several ways you can access Kuler. First you can access the web app at http://kuler.adobe.com/.
My favorite has been the Adobe Air version for your desktop, which can be downloaded from here.

And finally if you are a user of the Creative Suite of products from Adobe, Kuler can also be accessed from within them.
This is a free tool from Adobe, so if you are a hobbyist or professional designer, or just someone who likes to be creative, give this a shot and let us know how you like it.
