DirectSkin from Stardock has been updated to provide a more comprehensive set of features to support Windows 7, allowing developers to more easily create applications for the newest Windows operating system.

Based on the same "skinning" technology that powers Stardock's WindowBlinds and MyColors applications, DirectSkin is a tool used by software developers to quickly and easily give their applications an attractive and polished look and feel. DirectSkin 7 is now fully compatible with all versions of Microsoft's newest operating system.

New features that have been added to DirectSkin 7 include:

  • Enhanced support for the 64-bit versions of Windows Vista and Windows 7, allowing applications powered by DirectSkin to run in native 64-bit mode.
  • New "pathless" versions of DirectSkin provide the highest degree of compatibility.
  • Enhanced support for Windows 7 task and file dialogs.
