HookedGamers has posted a quick preview of the forthcoming Elemental: War of Magic.

“If you are still unsure about giving a try to Elemental: War Of Magic, please know that these few facets I have talked about are just the icing on the cake. There are many more ways to have fun with Stardock's hybrid: you can do diplomacy, choose your kingdom from different races, build dynasties, research technologies and in the end, if you are still not happy, you have the option to mod the game to your liking. Overall, Elemental: War of Magic sounds like an interesting new take on the RTS genre, mixed in with RPG features.”

Check out the full preview here.

so far all the previews hasn't really shown anything new that stardock hasn't shown the beta testers already... some how i have the feeling Stardock is hiding something from us all...

added:

And what do they mean 'stale genre'? With Elemental and Civ V coming out, it's hardly stale.
it is rather stale not many big titles come out for Turn based strategy every year only every few...!

With the exception for the part were Elemental is called an RTS, the review wasn't that horrible in my opinion, of course, Elemental deserves a better review, but every little promotion helps. All in my opinion, please don't strangle me.

LOL at describing the game as an RTS.  Though I'd love to see you do one someday.

SINS was an RTS in the absolute sense, however far too slow paced for it to ever really become a spectator sport. /shrug.

I don't think Elemental will ruin Firaxis, but this game will def give it a run for it's money and with proper support and good expansions, will likely be a solid contender.

And as has already been mentioned, Stardock didn't make Sins. Ironclad did. Stardock published it.
