Very clueless.  But what is even more clueless are the "journalists" that let it pass.  I guess we should start calling them what they really are.  Copy writers.

I would agree that UI checks get spent quickly, and do get the money in the system quicker (if at all) by the "shovel ready" stimulus spending. When the Republicans suggested the UI extensions come from the stimulus package, the Dem's didn't like that. It's all political theater played for those that read the headlines only.

So unemployment checks create jobs, but why not simply create the jobs and skip the unemployment checks all together? I just can't fathom how anyone can get away with such comments without anything but these blogs to point them out. And to think Bush has an entire book of his "Bushism".

First, people usually don't watch c-span.  You may flip past it to see what's going on, but I feel that a very small percentage of people actually watch it.  Second, you can tell she's trying to be careful in what she says (if you're not paying attention you could miss it), yet this is the normal Pelosi look: I can't believe these people are having me explain this to them elitist constipated look.

In all seriousness, why did Californians elect her?  What has she actually done that's good for California?  I want some serious answer, I'm already against her so by someone responding with nothing.  I want someone to give some what a defense, was the individuals who've run against really that much more of a neonate?

My friend was telling me that Pelosi's outfits were/are more expensive than Palin's were. So, she's spending $20,000 on that ugly thing?  I'm fine with that as long its not a tax refund, tax payers' money, or some type of kick back.

The answer to your question is they are incapable of creating jobs (they have demonstrated that).  The better question - If Unemployment checks create jobs, why not just give everyone an unemployment check?  Just think of the jobs created then?

Same answer for the question "Why Johnny Can't read".

Most people are stupid.  What is supposed to differentiate man from animal is their ability to understand time.  In other words, plan for the future.  But alas most people have regressed to an animalistic stage and are basically lemmings that if you feed them, will jump off that cliff.

She has been in an elected office since 1988.  That's 22 years!  I didn't realize that she's 70 years old!  The only reason she continues to get elected is the fact that she has money.  Her popularity has been in the negative for quite some time.  I'm not sure what ever happened to the whole CIA/waterboard lie she told but it just went away.  When I was in Grad School, a professor had a poster on their door of all the stupid things Bush said, now why is there no poster of all the retarded things that Pelosi has said?  I would buy several and mail it to certain people.  That would be another post: The stupid things that come out of the mouth of the neonate who is Nancy Pelosi.

As for the money comment, I am glad to see Alvin Greene get elected (*note I feel that what he is being accused of is wrong) with little/no campaigning or with little/no money.  I am not going to say that he, Alvin Green,  is dumb because I don't know him and people said the same thing of Bush (which I don't know Bush and I don't think he was dumb though).  I do feel his position on the polling box and his name probably were what contributed to him getting elected.

Doc, you need to be careful in saying that because you sound like Bill Maher (I'm not trying to insult you either, so please don't take it as an insult.)  What you're saying could be taken as being an elitist, which I know you're not.

I think most people are probably apathetic, uniformed, and just plain don't care.  Now, are their decision dumb?  Yes, some of the time.

These are the type of people that vote for the likes of Nasty Pelosi. The old guy knew all the right answers, he went to school before the dumbing down of education.

HA, that was funny!  I'm sure some of those people were nervous.  The 'hardest' one of those questions was who sewed the American flag. We are celebrating July 4th because its the 4th of July.  We obviously got our Independence from the 4th with General Churchill leading the charge in 1922.

Speaking of who sewed the Flag, why was the man called a sexist for saying it probably was a woman?  Back then, men could sow but women did do the majority.  If Jay Leno said that to me I would have been 'thanks, you ethnocentrist!'

You are probably right about the comment.  However, I guess itis a sign of age as I tolerate fools less these days.  I guess that is why they have a term from crotchety old men.

And Stupid is not really the word I should have used.  ignorant.  They have the capacity to learn, they just choose not to.  There are many reasons of course and some are legitimate.  Like my knowledge of cars.  I am ignorant in their mechanics - mostly by choice.  I just do not have the time to learn (low on my value list).  But the key difference is that I do not pontificate on the mechanics of cars.  In other words, I know what I know not.  Most people are not that smart or perhaps honest.

Thanks for the laugh.  It is all too familiar.
