I know many have been waiting for the release of Photoshop CS5 and the rest of the Creative Suite, and today is the day.  Adobe has officially released Creative Suite 5, including trial downloads of the applications.

Let me know if you plan to upgrade, because I think it is time I upgraded from CS2.

Isn't this the version that uses magic and fairy dust to do things to images?  Seriously, some of this stuff is downright amazing.

Upgraded today. Some of 3rd party plugins only work in CS5 32bit mode until the plugins are updated.  Other than that it's an amazing program.

I am well and truly annoyed with Adobe over this. I'm a graphic designer by trade and when I upgraded 2 months ago I asked about CS5, as I heard it was coming soon (April in fact). I was told they had heard nothing about that so I purchased CS4.

Low and behold CS5 is out 2 months later. And me £845 out of pocket and with a out of date suite.

Grrrrrrrrr

I'm using it now and loving it!!

I love adobe apps but they honestly need to take a year off from adding new features and focus purely on improving performance and making their apps as lean as possible.

I've got CS4. Honestly I can't afford the upgrade right now and I haven't had any jobs in the last year or so where I needed it. Every now and then I pick up a job doing those annoying Banner Adds you see all over the place and that's the last time I used CS4. Do you think it's worth the upgrade?

Also, would it be worth it if You were the one paying for it and Not Stardock?

CS2 is still my favorite version of Photoshop.  Stability since then has hit the crapper.
