We are aware of some issues with uploading, and are working on them now.

Update:

Please use this thread to report uploading issues specifically.  Please be as detailed as possible in your description, and include a screenshot if you think it will be helpful.

Update #2:

All skins are going into moderation at the moment regardless of user level.  This is being addressed.

Thanks Hankers, for pushing....now, If I edit the misformatted text, will it go to moderation?

If so, will you be there, waiting? Can you have someone on the other side pulling too...lol!

If you update the description it will go to moderation. The mods do check the queue's but it would make it easier if you posted the name of the upload and which gallery it belongs to. If something gets stuck 'in processing' then we have to go hunting. Having the name and gallery will speed that process up.

That makes sense, and is easy enough to comply with. Thanks.

My problem may be a bit off topic, but here goes. Sometimes during a skin upload when I click on my Documents folder to find the Preview or the Skin to upload, IE8 informs me that it has closed the application due to what it perceives as a threat to my computer. The upload usually works ok on the 2nd or sometimes the 3rd attempt. It's probably an issue with IE8, but as it never used to happen with the old WC site, I thought I'd mention it. Aaaah the old WC site...

Jim...did you see my post on how to manually put the line break code in?

uploading updates of old skins brings about the update being uploaded as a 'new skin' instead of updating the old skin, i now have 2 versions of steampunk sysmetrix when I was trying to update the old one. this also happened with my wildstar wb. i lost alot of nice comments from people i really cherish..... please look into this.

Vampothika - please check your PM.

No, but they seem to have it fixed, for new uploads. I had to edit some of the old/new uploads.  Thanks tho.

There appears to be something going on with uploads. The upload goes through fine but folks are reporting errors on trying to download with invalid links. I thought it was just me but apparently others are having the same issue. Could someone confirm?

Without further information (link(s) to skins having reported problems) it would be like the proverbial needle-in-the-haystack.  If you believe there are problematic download links then specify which one's.

I got your email and I have reuploaded previously today but it still does not work and now is no longer in the gallery. I will reupload now, have resaved and rezipped to a smaller file size but when I editted earlier it went into moderation and was not available for a couple of hours.

The zip file is still corrupt.  Retry uploading one more time and leave the '#' out of the file name.  Just use letters and numbers in the file name.

Thanks

Frankief; are you aware that the download for the matching logon is also broken.

on May 14, 2010

It may be using a '#' in the file name.  I have pulled the logon as well and a re-upload without using a '#' in the file name should tell if that is the issue.

Hey Hankers, I believe it was but that would be Island Dogs fault as per the summer skin contest upload rules

"Uploads must be tagged with #summer10 (example: Summer wallpaper #summer10)"
