We are aware of some issues with uploading, and are working on them now.

Update:

Please use this thread to report uploading issues specifically.  Please be as detailed as possible in your description, and include a screenshot if you think it will be helpful.

Update #2:

All skins are going into moderation at the moment regardless of user level.  This is being addressed.

Update.

on Apr 22, 2010

The file upload always returns am HTTP error message.

The preview upload seems to work

on Apr 22, 2010

Please try again and let us know of any issues.

The file uploaded this time but after 3 hours it failed to appear in any galleries with the exception of my own and without a preview pic.

The place in personal gallery only was not checked.

It should not require moderation due to journeyman status.

File name is Discovery at Bordeaux.

So, it isn't fixed.

No, but for some reason(s) it went into moderation, as with so many other's.
We're (The mods) keeping a close eye on the moderation queues, in case more of these cases do appear, and push them into public view asap.

I just updated the descriptions on 2 skins due to the bad formatting on the new site, and now they're in moderation. Editing text isn't supposed to send to moderation...

An update on the status of this bug?

on Apr 26, 2010

I will update when it is resolved, I have no news otherwise.

They've been there too long.

Please define "too long".

They weren't there just before I went to bed, some 8 hours ago........

Showing "in moderation" for me well over 24 hours, which is too long for a skin that shouldn't be there to begin with.

Until this is fixed, I will try to help by not uploading anything. I suggest that we all should do the same, to give them time to fix it.

Also, since editing descriptions sends to moderation, I would advise not doing that either.

My opinion here may be squat, but it is my sincere opinion that this new site should not have been "released" yet. It feels as if we are "subscribing" to be beta testers. The old site was better and faster than this, even at it's worst.

on Apr 27, 2010

I realize I don't upload,so my opinion may not count for much, but here it is anyway.

To me, WinCustomize is and has always been a content driven site. Uploads and downloads are what makes the wheels turn.Having the site in such a shape that doing either of these actions is difficult to damn near impossible makes for some very unhappy members. It boggles my mind that professional site builders could release such a mess. Can you please fix this asap or put the old site back up until  the "new" WC is in a usable condition for all.

End vent: Thanks ,I feel better now.
