Neil posted about this last night and I just checked...it's still not showing up in Impulse. I do have show pre-releases on and have reset the data in Impulse.

Any suggestions to get it to show?

Last I heard it's a problem with Impulse, so I believe an update is in the works.

Can't see it on impulse here :/ it does show that the last update was at 14/01/2010 but there's no option to update my installation and the version number still shows as 3.00.027

Got it...thanks

Okay got it and thanks folks.

Has the 'black' snow effect been addressed all ready?  I get black snow on a normal wallpaper when I use that effect.

Which OS are you on and what graphics card do you have?

There was an issue with the snow not always working at all on 32 bit OSes (and in the UI on 64 bit), but I have not encountered any black snow issues.

Neil I'm using Win 7 Home Premium 64 bit and the Nvidia GeForce GT 120 card.

Should I even bother updating this since I'm still using XP. Just seems as though XP is being slowly fazed out of these updates. And still haven't gotten it to work right anyway.

The only thing XP didn't gain is the advanced multiple monitor support and a couple of the new effects.  Everything else listed is applicable to XP as well as Windows Vista / 7.

Neil,

I too still have the black snow problem. Nvidea GTX260, Window 7 Ultimate 64 bit.

Also, the new icon transparency mouseover feature does not change the transparency in any way. I can move the slider all the way to the left or right and it does not effect the opacity of the desktop icons when I hover the mouse over them.  The normal one works as it should.
