More backroom deals from the so-called “transparent” administration.

“The breakthrough announced Thursday was a biproduct of the previous days talks: a deal on so-called "Cadillac" insurance plans. The White House and top union leaders heralded the agreement, which shields all union workers for five years from significant taxes on health benefit packages that non-union workers will face starting in 2013.”

Yes, that’s right.  Unions have been given an exemption on paying taxes on their healthcare just to win over their support.  You have been screwed America.

We were screwed long before Obama promised the unions to back out before coming.  Of course we know how that lie turns out (actually 2 of them, the second one being I am from the government and I am here to help you).

Gotta love it, in a country where we are all suppose to be equals, some get to pay taxes and others dont just because they grabbed the politicians by the balls. Gotta love this country. I always thought unions were great because it helped the workers who were being abused by their employers now the abused have become the abusers and as usual you give someone an inch and they take a mile. And some here wonder why we don't like letting small bills pass, it paves the way for more of the same BS to be passed.

Apparently the Democrats learned nothing from the the Republicans in 2006, as they continue to stuff 10 pounds of crap that nobody wants in a 5 pound sack. If memory serves me correctly, the issues that forced the Republicans out weren't nearly as controversial and blatantly abhorred by the people. They must have a death wish. It is interesting to watch a group so out of touch, implementing their destructive policies like there is no tomorrow, oblivious to want the majority of people want.

No, I think you are off a bit.  It is not that they did not learn, but they learned the wrong lesson.  How else to explain the fact that they are now trailing in massachusetts!  The only state to vote for mcGovern in 72!

I'd really like to hear a liberals view on this.

You won't, especially if they are in a union with a Cadillac health insurance plan.
