How exactly will it be paid for?

Well I'm gathering he's going to look at the rich 1% since they have nothing else to do with their money.

I don't care how it's paid for, I don't want my government involved in the healthcare business.  Every single program they already have their paws on is riddled with loads of problems.  Do we seriously need another government program?

From all indications, anything that won't be printed or borrowed from China will be slashed from Medicare. Its tough to pin down the exact figure, but its in the billions.... and then we get lectuured on "morality"

From his speech he claims taxes won't be raised and neither will the deficit.  He claims we will "save" all the money needed by fixing the waste that is already going on in the system.  How are we going to "save" money by creating all sorts of new govt committees?

Probably in a similar way to the way they do in Communist Dictatorships like Australia, New Zealand or the UK.

Cute snarky reply Champas.  Say, what are the population numbers of said countries compared to that of the US?  And you know what?  I don't want to live in any of those countries.  I like the way we do things here.  Our UHC wouldn't be just like that of any other country either.  I don't want to be taxed the crap out of to support everyone else.

The US is larger - ahh I see what you mean now, that means it could be even cheaper from economies of scale!

That's the simplistic answer you would expect from liberals. First fewer (non taxpayers) are crossing the borders of Canada, Australia and New Zealand and being treated on the public dime. Second, who has the older population paying less taxes now in their old age. Oh that's right, they will be the first to receive rationed health care so they can be dispatched sooner without taking up those resources. "Hope" it "Changes" before you need it, right.

Back to topic. This Democrat congress doesn't want you to know how it will be paid for. They killed two amendments that would have made the bill public prior to signing. I'm sure Obama appreciates his legion of foreign surrogates, pushing his agenda, but don't sell crazy here, nobody's buying. Hey, try Germany conservatism seems to be on the rise there.
