20090624233153 With the launch of Windows 7 growing ever so close, Microsoft is now promoting the Windows Launch events which will take place in cities across the United States.  These launch events are targeted at IT Professionals and Developers, and the best part is you get a free copy of Windows 7 for attending.  Did I mention these events are free as well?

I attended a similar event for the Windows Vista launch a couple of years ago in Orlando.  It was actually an interesting event, I learned quite a few things, and I got to talk and network with tons of IT professionals from all around the state.  If you have the time to attend one of these, I highly recommend it.

You can find the cites and dates available at the following link.

Sure am.

So, "will" i... but to me any new OS has to be matched with another PC.

Recycle syndrome strikes again.

That second copy is for me, right?

Man, I really wish I had taken advantage of the $50 pre-order when I had the chance...

Man, I really wish that $50 pre-order was available here in Oz to take advantage of.

Sheesh, just because we're downunder, don't mean we're all sheep shagging bogans who don't appreciate modern technolergy.

It might be a teensy weensy bit politically incorrect... I guess .

...modern technolergy.

Contagious as it is, i doubt your exclusive boomerangs spin in circles too fast either for someone to catch mid-flight if lucky enough.

So let me get this straight.

Bear with me everyone.

Starkers: you do not trust Google becuse of your own reasons yet are willing to buy into a company that data mines more than Google and has shoddy business practices?

No logic like I said...

(I now return you to your thread.)

@ kona.

There is a difference!  Microsoft HAS a product to sell that I'd find most useful... Windows 7.  However, Google has NO products or services of interest to me, for sale or otherwise... simple as that.

Enuff said!

Still no logic to your hate of google. no logic at all. Oh well.

Orright!  Microsoft doesn't bombard me with unsolicited/unwelcomed ads... Google does/would if I didn't block them.  I hate my web page real estate being taken up by ads... or where they would be, had I not blocked them.

Not only that, I don't get discount on client products and sevices after years of resentfully having to tolerate pesrsitent and annoying Google ads.

I mean, they know everything I say here, least they could do is send me discount coupons.

Now is enuff said???

I have one thing to add: Google does NOT bombard me with ads. Even with adblock off. Sounds like you need to look into Google again. Things have changed.

I'll post in another thread if i have more to say.

Sounds like you need to look into Google again.

Nah, my life functions perfectly well without Google... or put another way... Google has nothing I want or need.

Things have changed.

I find that a contradiction in terms!  Google is an ad company!  Its primary source of income comes from ads, so why would things have changed?  Google would not cut off its nose (income/revenue) to spite its face (bank balance).

Anyhow *back on topic*, I hope the launch of Windows 7 is the success MS hopes it will be... it simply is the best OS they've ever produced and blows Vista (everything else before it) out of the water.
