Does anyone know if SF4 will be playable against those who have xbox?  Also does anyone know what kind of online ranking system they will have?

You wont be playing against xbox people.

If it plays anything like the consoles there is a ranking system they brought in as free DLC (I guess the PC will have this at launch or soon after) and it's pretty well done, a lot of fun.

That's a lie !

It's not $35.99 , it is $47.73 (atm) ... for us europeans

I wanted to buy it from impulse , but having to pay $12 more, for the same products, breaks my heart .

No, it actually costs $47,83 (!!) for European Customers, which is pretty ridiculous. Why that diffence to the US?

Because the publisher (CapCom) has decided that SF IV costs 34.19 EUR for european customers and 35.99 USD for american customers.

on Jul 06, 2009

Yes but you should wonder why. It's a 40%-ish difference. I know no american will ever care how people somewhere else on this planet live but it should make you think why the same game should be 40% more expensive just because they are on another continent.

I guess digital prices are adjusted to retail prices: If the average price for a retail PC game is 50$ is USA and 50€ in Europe, it makes senses, for the publisher, to keep those regional pricings for digital prices

on Jul 06, 2009

Yes, but it's silly we have those prices in the first place. Thank god some sites like cdwow.com and play.com have good prices AND ship to the EU, though I'm not sure they do it to all EU countries. I vote with my wallet, but I'm not sure it's getting through because most people don't even look around at prices before they buy a game.

on Jul 06, 2009

I have pre-ordered Street Fighter 4 and I have only paid €34.19. I live in Europe too so I dont know how your price is so high. With both Steam and Impulse at the same price I choose Impulse thanks.

on Jul 07, 2009

Hmm we weren't talking about SFIV specifically anymore

If you payed €34 for the game then you paid 40% more than USA customers, that was kind of my point.

on Jul 07, 2009

Thats always been the case, usually because US prices do not include VAT. I would have paid €39.99 in a store. You only pay more than USA customers at POS. Sure companies gouge more than the VAT price for a little extra and no I am not happy about it but thats the way its always been. Blame the impotent EU.

I do (too) actually Importing stuff is useless, too. If the customs busts you you still have to pay huge amounts of taxes on it and probably a hefty fine too.
