I know I've complained about the eruopean prices a few times and I know that it's not stardocks fault...but are you sure you didn't switch the $ and € price this time?

 Red Faction Guerilla Pre-order

39.99 USD | 49.99 EUR (thats 70$ ) | 34.99 GBP

The pre-order deal for Red Faction Guerilla is very tempting, you should add it to your post.

Damn! I already bought it. And I thought the 49.99 tag was fishy.

This price difference is the reason I stopped buying from steam.

So we have $40 * 1.19 VAT = $47.6 -> convert to euro -> 33.73 euro.

Thats 16.26 euros more!

So thank you stardock.

So thank you stardock.

As the publisher sets the price (BTW, have you read the small letters associated with the * near the price ), you have the following choice when there are regional restriction for Europe:

- Games only published in North america

- Games with a regional pricing for Europe, with the publisher generally deciding that 1USD = 1EUR since it will give nearly the retail price used in Europe for that game.

If Stardock doesn't aggree to the price, they can't sell it.

on Jul 02, 2009

Well i cant say i didnt expect it. Seriously , how long are publishers going to ruin EVERY SINGLE digital distribution site for Europe ? Why should same game cost 50€ on Impulse / Steam / elsewhere when you can buy it from local retail shop for 35€ and even cheaper on some web shops.

on Jul 02, 2009

Thats what you get for your country joining in the EU(European Useless)

The Red Faction Guerilla preorder and Sins of a Solar Empire bundle are very attractive. Think I will get them. Thanks Stardock!

on Jul 02, 2009

Pass. The only game I want to pick up is the Command & Conquer first decade.

on Jul 02, 2009

Once again the game that would interest me (CoD4) is not available in europe

Well, i'll get cheaper when (or if) it's a Steam weekend sale anyway.

23.96£ = 28€ And I have a box. So for European, except for Stardock product, there is only a small interest to buy on Impulse, you can often found a better offer somewhere else.

I don't blame Stardock (this time ), it's just a fact.

Damn right.

And i hate this cause I really want to be a Stardock supporter. Just, do not feel stupid for that.

Its still cheaper than wandering out to your local rip-off store and buying it, not to mention Impulse' very impressive download speeds.
